New Paint: Kitchen and Breakfast Nook
We finished painting the kitchen and breakfast nook this past Sunday. I think they look great. We love the contrast with the white molding, built ins, and cabinets. Here are some photos:

Interior Photos: kitchen, breakfast nook, and mudroom/laundry room:
Kitchen, breakfast nook (on left), and mudroom/laundry room (on right). Looking in from dining room. Note: all photos were taken pre-paint. I will post the painted shots as soon as I finish!
Fridge & Stove: We will be replacing these soon and will be installing cabinets above the fridge and a fan above the stove. We don't have fan in the kitchen, so when I steam veggies or make noodles all the windows fog up!
Original cabinets! The "butlers pantry":
More cabinets:
Kitchen window. I love how big it is: (Sorry this photo has a strange color. It's not that orange/pinkish in my kitchen!)
The breakfast nook: Note: we didn't paint it that dark swatch on the wall. We went with a lighter green color.

The mudroom/laundry room. (The backdoor is just the the left of the photo):

Plans...
We have many goals for the renovation of our house. I wanted to list a few:
1. Pull up the remaining carpet and refinish the fir floors
2. Paint
3. Remodel downstairs bathroom
4. Renovate kitchen
5. Renovate the mudroom
6. Renovate the fireplace
7. New window treatments
8. New period doors and stained glass.
The toughest project will be the floors. Eventually we want to strip the white paint on all of our windows, molding, and doors. But, this is not a priority since it will be a HUGE project and take a lot of time. But, it is something we really want to do.

Paint
Today I painted the kitchen nook and part of the kitchen. I painted the far rear wall of the mudroom to see how all the colors will look together. So, far I am happy with how they look. I am waiting until tomorrow to see it all in the day light. This house has had white walls for 5 years-the color looks sooooooo good. I will post photos soon.

It begins.
We are finally serious about remodeling/updating/renovating our 1927 bungalow. More to come soon...
